The weekend in Monza Jamiroquai

As you know last Friday the Jamiroquai performed for F1 Rocks, musical event organized on the occasion of Grand Prix 1 held in Monza, in Italy. The band played at the Stadio Brianteo in front of a crowd of fans of good music and high-speed!

jay kay, big fan of Formula 1 and in particular Ferrari, spent the entire weekend enjoying the Grand Prix and wandering in the paddock and in the shops of Maranello in the company of Red Horse Montezemolo. The icing on the cake of the weekend is definitely the Italian around the track in a Ferrari 458 Italy, alongside the first Felipe Massa Is Fernando Alonso and then at the wheel.

The Planet Funk will open the concert of Jamiroquai F1 Rocks

F1 Rocks in collaboration with Live Nation announced today thatPlanet Funk, one of the band's most important electronic-dance music of the last ten years, was confirmed as the opening act Jamiroquai concert event F1 Rocks Stadium of Brianteo Monza The 9 September 2011.

Tickets for the concert are still available and you can buy them online Live Nation or through the circuit ticketone.

Meanwhile on the site of F1 Rocks can read a long Intervista a Jay Kay where in addition to his passion for high speed and the Ferrari, Jay devotes few words to his relationship with the rest of the band. When asked “Jamiroquai identifies a band or is the stage name of Jay Kay when he is on stage?” Jay replied:

I have no doubt a band Jamiroquai. I am part of a band, my name is on the contract, but when we make music we are a band on stage for all purposes.

The site F1 announced that the rocks Jamiroquai play at Grand Prix of Formula 1 of Monza, on Friday 9 September 2011. The concert will be part of the event ‘F1 Rocks Milan 2011‘ held at the Stadio Brianteo Monza.

jay kay commented on the band's participation in the event with these words:

I'm excited to play at F1 Rocks. Will surely be a great weekend. Live music and Formula 1, all at Monza- Home of Ferrari. There is nothing better.

The Tickets for the concert are on sale from 3 Next June.

Jamiroquai in Abu Dhabi

As previously announced, last 30 Jamiroquai October, they performed live at Ferrari World at the end of free practice for the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi Championship Formula 1.

Unfortunately it was not notified of the official concert setlist, but it seems that the show lasted about an hour and video and the comments from YouTube seems that the pieces were played (not in order):

After the concert, Jay Kay has held for the entire weekend in Abu Dhabi to watch the qualifying and the race on Sunday.

The program “Pole Position” on Rai1 Jay has an interview broadcast today in which the singer speaks of his regret for the unfortunate season for Ferrari and his great love for cars. Unfortunately I do not have a recording of the interview, qualuno of you but if he were in possession may contact.

During the concert the band gave the 30 October the Grand Prix 1 Abu Dhabi, Jay Kay has released an’interview website gulfnews.com he speaks of Jamiroquai and how their music has changed over the years.

It reads:

Think that our music has definitely evolved into a fairly natural. It will always be strongly linked to my voice and great groove, but people who say that has not evolved, obviously, have ears. In the past he had more soul soul / groove, before moving toward a sound disc with more programming, and finally the development of a stronger rock, come in Deeper Underground e Feels Just Like It Should. Next album, output next year, will be different again.

And the journalist who asked him to define in a few words said Jamiroquai:

Hard funking good time music! Because that is what we do…
